Accolta nell’affollato parterre dai gruppi delle rievocazioni storiche in costume, scioglierà la tensione dello svolo nell’abbraccio del Doge e del pubblico, elettrizzato dallo spettacolo scenografico che celebra sempre, anche sui network nazionali e internazionali, il Carnevale di Venezia. Come ormai da tradizione, sarà la Maria vincitrice del Carnevale 2016 Claudia Marchiori a vestire i panni del nuovo Angelo dell’edizione 2017.
Il volo dell’Angelo è in partnership con easyJet, che anche quest’anno ha deciso di festeggiare la propria presenza all’aeroporto di Venezia in occasione del Carnevale, celebrando in grande stile l’apertura ufficiale della manifestazione.

The “Flight of the Angel” is a traditional event that goes back to the Serenissima period where an unknown guest of Venice, flying along a rope from San Marco bell tower to the middle of the square, will offer an homage to the Doge, and will be greeted by the crowded parterre of the period costumes parades of the Historical Re-enactments.
As a conclusion, the embrace of the Angel and the Doge will smooth the atmosphere of a square galvanized by scenographical effects always appreciated by the Italian and international networks.
The girl winner of the 2016 edition of the “Festa delle Marie” (Marie contest), Claudia Marchiori, will be the Angel of the new Carnival 2017.
The “Volo dell’ Angelo” is in partnership with easyJet, that also this year, in occasion of the Carnival, decided to celebrate its presence at Venice Airport with a special official Carnival opening ceremony. For the occasion the Carnival’s Angel will land on an orange airstrip in St. Mark’s Square!
The “Doge” Parade is organized by C.E.R.S. – Consortium of European Re-enactment Societies, with the participation of Ass. Amici del Carnevale di Venezia, Ass. Internazionale per il Carnevale di Venezia and the Historical Group “Le Maschere di Mario del ’700 veneziano”
